Blood Donation Drive 2022:

“Blood Donation is a Small Act of Kindness that does Great Wonders.”

Blood donation is the act of giving blood to someone who needs it. It is not just about giving blood, but it is an act of kindness that saves the lives of hundreds of people. These fifteen minutes of your life can save someone’s entire life. You can’t even imagine that donating one bag of blood can be so beneficial to the human race. Donating the blood without expecting or asking for any money or gesture is a great act of kindness.

Blood donation is the most valued service to mankind. Nothing is comparable to the preciousness of human blood. “The gift of blood is the gift of life. There is no substitute for human blood. Blood cannot be manufactured- it can only come from generous donors.”

Real bliss can be achieved through love, fellowship, selfless service and sacrifice, and not by amassing wealth alone. One must try to donate blood and see what joy, happiness and satisfaction one will experience at the mere thought that this gesture may save somebody’s life one day.

OBCL has a practice of organizing blood donation drives since long back. One such drive was organisedin our premises on 14th June 2022 from 10.00 AM to 02.00 PM. All the employees were encouraged to donate blood and many of them volunteered to support the campaign, aiming to give life and hope to people in need. Further, many people from outside the organisation also participated in this noble act.

It is worth mentioning that OBCL has been making an invaluable contribution in ensuring the availability of blood in the region by organizing blood donation camps from time to time.
